Diagnostic criteria:
  1. Any headache fulfilling criterion C
  2. A specific phobia has been diagnosed according to DSM-5 criteria
  3. Headache occurs exclusively when the patient is exposed or anticipating exposure to the phobic stimulus
  4. Not better accounted for by another ICHD-3 diagnosis.

Specific phobias typically last for 6 months or more, causing clinically significant distress and/or impairment in social, occupational and/or other important areas of functioning.
