Diagnostic criteria:
- Recurrent headache attacks fulfilling criteria B and C
- Developing only during sleep, and causing wakening
- Two only of the following:
- occurring on ≥10 days/month for >3 months
- lasting from 15 minutes up to 4 hours after waking
- no cranial autonomic symptoms or restlessness
- Not fulfilling ICHD-3 criteria for any other headache disorder
- Not better accounted for by another ICHD-3 diagnosis.
