Description:
Glossopharyngeal neuralgia developing without apparent cause other than neurovascular compression.
Diagnostic criteria:
- Recurrent paroxysms of unilateral pain fulfilling criteria for 13.2.1 Glossopharyngeal neuralgia
- Demonstration on MRI or during surgery of neurovascular compression of the glossopharyngeal nerve root.
